We have found some information about our first project on the site of the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Commissioner of Hungary. Our Name is also listed there. Unfortunatelly it's only in hungarian, but the site itself has also an english version. It was published on epiteszforum.hu. About the interieur design made by us we will post later.

The building of the Parliamentary Commissioner's Office. Nádor street 22 - Széchenyi utca 9 (Oswald House, Gruber House)

The building on the corner of the Nádor and the Széchenyi street is a four -story corner house with courtyard patios and wings at  the Tüköry u. 5. joined together in a corridor. The historic house, according to a stone tablet on the wall was built between 1844 and 1848. The house was designed by Lőrinz Zofahl between 1846-1847 and its original function was bérházként worked. The building was very early, in 1851, by Frigyes Feszl, Gerster, and Frey redesigned  for Antal Oswald and József Joseph ordered and expandedwith two stories. From 1864 it was converted into a hotel, called Frohner, later Continental, and than became a bankhouse. Here has worked  from 1898  the National Central Credit Bank. Mor Jokai In the separate room on the second floor were held the board meetings and banketts of the Petőfi Society leading by Mór Jókai and Ferenc Herczeg.. Endre Ady and Leda met several times here. In this house was founded in the Nyugat magazine. The function has changed from 1917, since then - until today - it is working as office building. In 2000 the house has been renovated by the Architectural plans of Ferdinand and Ferdinand Architects and since 2001 it is the home of the Parliamentary Commissioner's Office.

Az adatvédelmi Biztos honlapján találtunk rövid történeti áttekintést az Ombudsmani Hivatal épületéről, ahol még bennünket is megemlítenek tervezőként és forrásként is.

"Az Országgyűlési Biztos Hivatala épületéről. Nádor utca 22. - Széchenyi utca 9. (Oswald-ház, Gruber-ház) (Az epiteszforumon is rajta van)

 Az épület a Nádor és a Széchenyi utca sarkán lévő háromemeletes sarokház belső udvarokkal és udvari épületszárnyakkal, melyet a Tüköry u. 5. szám alatt lévő épülettel, egy folyosóval kapcsoltak össze. A ház műemlék, a falán található kőtábla szerint 1844 és 1848 között épült. A házat Zofahl Lőrinc tervezte 1846-1847-ben, amely eredeti funkciója szerint bérházként működött. Az épületet igen korán, már 1851-ben, Feszl Frigyes, Gerster és Frey tervei szerint Oswald Antal és Oswald József megrendelésére átépítették és két emelettel bővítették. 1864-ben Frohner, majd Continental Szállóvá alakították át, később banképület lett, itt működött 1898-tól az Országos Központi Hitelszövetkezet. Az első emeleti különteremben Jókai Mór, később Herczeg Ferenc elnökletével a Petőfi Társaság tartotta közgyűlési bankettjeit. Ady Endre és Léda több alkalommal is itt találkozott. E házban alapították a Nyugat című folyóiratot. 1917-től módosult a funkciója, azóta – mind a mai napig – irodaházként működik. 2000-ben a Ferdinánd és Ferdinánd Építésziroda tervei alapján felújították és 2001-óta ad otthont az Országgyűlési Biztos Hivatalának.

 (magyarul is...) Tervlap.hu has started a new service: it will be not only an architectural online paper, but it become more and more an online community of architects in Hungary. Unfortunatelly it is only hungarian at the moment, but we are trying to appell the owners to make it bi-lingual: english and hungarian. Let us see how it grows: good luck! we begin to post some projects there in a few day.
A Tervlap.hu új szolgáltatást indított: nemcsak online építészeti magazin kíván lenni, hanem egyre inkább magyar építész közösségi oldallá is kíván válni. Sajnos jelenleg ez csak magyarul működik, bár javasoljuk az adminisztrátoroknak, hogy tegyék kétnyelvűvé. Majd meglátjuk, hogy milyen gyorsan növekszik: innen is sok sikert! Néhány napon belül elkezdünk rajta cikkeket elhelyezni.

Since 2002 we have made several plans for the renovation, reconstruction of the Jurisich Castle in Kőszeg, Hungary. Step by step we have reached our goal: the building prozess can begin probably in Februar 2011, because the official competition for choosing the main contractor has been launched yesterday. The building companies should  send their offers till 20th of dezember. Our designign steps was as follows: The very first proposals in 2002. First building permission plan 2004 (permitted). Second changed permission plan 2007 (permitted). Third changed permission plan 2009 (permitted). Working plan in 2009. Changed working plan 2010. Changing of the changed working plan 2010. It's not a short time project but we love it.

Greetings to Spain. We have found a quite good site called ARQLANTIA administered by spanish architects. We've decided to become a member there and uploaded the first project of us: AMSY Head Office. They are trying to rescue the disappearing architecture. We find this is a beautifull idea.

(magyarul is...)The Hungarian Danube Research Station Department of the Institute of Ecology and Botany of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences will move from Göd and Vácrátót to Budapest, Újpest. The new head office will be placed into an old protected Art Nouveau building. Ferdinand and Ferdinand Architects pleased to write this news because this is a brand new design job of the office.

The building we have to redesign and to extend has been built in 1902 designed by Sándor Baumgarten and Zsigmond Hercegh. The last function of the house was school.

The Hungarian Danube Research Station Department of the Institute of Ecology and Botany of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences will became the new Danube Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. About from the page of the HAS:

Hydrobiology of running waters

Research is based on the experiences gained during the long-term survey of the previous decades: basic patterns of the river biota; material cycling of the different river sections; impact of environmental factors (natural or human induced hydrological regime) and the structure of the biotic community. A long-term task of the Station is the hydrobiological monitoring of the Szigetköz area. The latest studies of water and sediment chemistry, fito- and zooplankton, macrophytes, macroinvertebrates, fish populations and amphibians are all closely related to the functional aspects of biodiversity, river fragmentation, functioning of the river system and adjacent wetlands.

Hydrobiology of standing waters and wetlands

Most of the research of standing waters and wetlands is carried out at the Fertő-Hanság region. The investigations of the structure and function of communities and on the effects of environmental factors focus on two major habitat types of Lake Fertő: the open water surfaces and the reed belt. The hydrobiological monitoring of small lakes and constructed wetlands in the Hanság area serves mainly the reconstruction goals of nature conservation.

The Hungarian Danube Research Station takes part in the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive, mainly in the elaboration of methodology for biomonitoring and the problem of reference sites.

The Department maintains the richest living plant collection in Hungary, having more than 12000 taxa ordered to the following collections:

• Collections of rock garden and bulbiferous plants"

A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Ökológiai és Botanikai Intézetének Dunakutató Állomása Gödről és Vácrátótról Budapestre, Újpestre költözik. Az új központot egy szecessziós műemlék épületben kell elhelyeznünk, ez a legújabb tercvezési megbízásunk. 

Az épület 1902-ben épült Baumgarten Sándor és Hercegh Zsigmond tervei alapján. A korszerűsítés és rekonstrukció mellett bővítenünk is kell a házat egy csónaktárolóval. A két éve üresen álló épület eredeti és utolsó funkciója is gimnázium volt.

A Dunakutató Állomás a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia új önálló intézetévé válik  Dunakutató Intézet néven.

(magyarul is...) Our single house project in Buda has been featured on epiteszforum.hu yesterday. This is the 6th built house to see there in this year. The house was totaly renewed: we have written about a facelift, but there was also some organ change inside: stair has been moved from the rand to the middle to get the best rate of corridor-useful area. Site: 1074 m2, house 220 m2 netto, backyard house 40 m2 netto, garage 32 m2 netto. total building costs without backyard house: 130.000 euros. Architect: Arpad Ferdinand.

Budai családi ház átalakításunk megjelent tegnap az epiteszforum.hu-n. Ez idén a hatodik ott publikált megépült projektünk. A ház teljesen átalakult: ráncfelvarrásról írtunk, de volt belül egy kis szervátültetés is: a lépcsőházat az épület végéből a közepébe helyeztük át a minél jobb közlekedő-hasznos terület arány elérése érdekében.  Telek: 1074 m2, lakóház 220 m2 nettó, melléképület 40 m2 nettó, garázs 32 m2 nettó. A teljes építési költség az egyelőre romos kisház nélkül: 130.000 euros. Építész: Ferdinánd Árpád.

(magyarul is...) The World Architecture Festival (WAF) has been organized last week at Barcelona. Our project UNIQA Vital Business Center has been feautured there and from now on it can be found on the page of the World Buildings Directory. It wasn't shortlisted but we are glad and proud to have been presented at this architectural event.

UNIQA's media elevation as ArtFacade(copyright by Ferdinand) presents: BorderLine Architecture's to this place adapted movie from the 12th International Architecture Exhibition of the Biennale at Venice. So everybody can see this part of the hungarian pavillion's installation by Andor Wesselényi-Garay and Marcel Ferencz simultaneously to the exhibition till middle of November. When? After darkening till midnight in every hour 5-6 times. Where? At Budapest on the Róbert Károly krt. How big? It is quiet big: the screen is 50 m long and 18 m high. We will post a short video later on youtube. Has somebody seen it before?

Architecture News Plus is an International Architecture Magazine. They are showing at the moment  projects from around the world. Generally, they publish realised/built projects and winning (1st prize) competition entries from any period in time.

(magyarul is...) We have got a mail from Archello.com with request for press information about Hotel**** Balneum Tiszafüred. After sending the materials it was published yesterday on this site. Archello is open source but it has a reviewing panel that controls the standard of projects published on the site.

Kaptunk egy levelet az Archello.com-tól, melyben anyagot kértek a  Hotel**** Balneum Tiszafüred épületéről. A képek elküldése után tegnap meg is jelent azon az oldalon. Az Archello nyitott, de van egy belső panelje, melynek segítségével ellenőrzik a megjelenő projektek színvonalát.

Valahogy csak most vettük észre, hogy negyedik épületünk a Hotel**** Balneum Tiszafüred is rajta van a listán, így erre is lehet szavazni. Lehet, hogy a lista korrekciójakor került fel?
